“Life is full of beauty, notice it!”
Who would have thought that we don’t need to go to Provence in the South of France to visit a Lavender farm? The exotic smell of lavender is just so dreamy. Just imagine walking through rows of purple blooms and running your hands through these beautiful foliage. Every summer for the last 5 years I always love to visit this lavender farm. For me, my summer is not complete if I can’t go there for a day. This year, I visited with few dear friends and that was their first time to be there, glad that I shared this experience with them.

This slice of heaven is not far from London, in fact it’s still in London because we got the bus from West Croydon train station and we’re able to use our Oyster cards on the bus. The bus was packed and I told my friends that all these people are going there. I was right! When the bus stopped outside the farm, everyone got off. As you get off the bus you can already smell the lavender and it makes you want to get there quickly. It was so busy that day and there were lots of people who visit the place.
My little man enjoyed so much as he experienced having a little experiment with other kids catching little creatures such as caterpillars, spiders, ladybirds, etc. and putting them in a microscope which is good for the kids. The enticing view will make you just sit there and enjoy what you can see. The bumble bees that are fluttering over the beautiful foliage are mesmerizing to watch.
Mayfield Lavender farm is only less than 15 miles away from the heart of London. There you can also buy bunches of lavender flowers, organic oil, home fragrances, lavender sachets and more. The best time to go there and visit is from mid of July till end of August. It’s worth a visit!
